Support Cami’s Cancer Fight
The faculty and staff at New Castle
Christian Academy in New Castle,
Pennsylvania, would like to introduce
you to our dear friend and co-worker,
Mrs. Cami Schaubroeck.
At the end of September, Cami, our
Kindergarten teacher, was diagnosed
with breast cancer. A battery of tests and doctor visits revealed the cancer has not spread through her body (thank you Lord!), but the cancer is an aggressive form of cancer and must be taken care of quickly. Cami will begin chemo next week; and in the spring, they will remove the tumor.
For those of you who don't know Cami,
please allow me to tell you about her:
Cami began teaching Kindergarten at
New Castle Christian Academy in 1995. Many teachers have come and gone over the years, but Cami has chosen to spend her teaching career at NCCA loving and caring for our Kindergarten children.
She has taught hundreds of kindergarten children how to read and write; how to
count and add; how to be kind and caring and, most of all, that God loves them!
So many of her former students are now
parents of children in her classroom. She has positively impacted the lives of
tens of thousands of people by teaching our children.
Although Cami has health insurance, she must pay out-of-pocket for the 2020 deductible, the 2021 deductible (which begins in 9 weeks) and all medication and treatment co-pays. Bills for fighting cancer can be staggering, and we want to help her. To be clear, Mrs. Schaubroeck has not asked for help. This is simply an opportunity for us to love a friend in need, and for God’s blessings, as He meets her needs through our giving.
You can be a blessing in the following ways:
Pray for Mrs. Schaubroeck. Pray for her
strength and courage; pray for the doctors' understanding of the best way to treat the cancer; pray that the chemo will shrink the tumor, thus minimizing the extent of surgery needed in the spring; pray for her family; and pray for her Kindergarten class. Cami is really worried about missing time with her class - school is her "happy place" and she wants to be here with her children.
Consider making a financial donation to help Cami and her family offset the expenses incurred during her cancer treatment.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND FINANCIAL GENEROSITY FOR OUR DEAR FRIEND,
CAMI SCHAUBROECK.
