Many of you know the Ortiz family.
Jessica and Nick Ortiz have four children: Hannah, Marisol, Connor, and Jesse Ortiz. As owners of Cape Fear Collision and Body Repair on Bragg Blvd here in Fayetteville and as long standing members of the Cedar Creek community this loving family is well known. They are well known because of their extreme generosity to others. They are always helping others and doing for others, whether family or friends, even at the expense of their own family. They are always the ones to show up when you’re going through a hard time whether you need money, groceries, meals, gas, help with your car, help cleaning the house, help picking the kids up from school, help watching the kids, you name it. They are the people you want to be there when things in life go wrong.
On Saturday Nick and Marisol were involved in a terrible car accident in Georgia. They were both taken to the hospital for severe injuries. Marisol was taken into surgery, but unfortunately did not make it. She passed December 28, 2019 at only 15 years old. Just three days after Christmas. Nick sustained injuries of his own but was thankfully able to come home to his family after a stay in the ICU.
This family is understandably devastated and broken hearted. And this is our time to return the generosity that they have shown to so many of us. I know it’s right after Christmas, but please give whatever you can to show this family that you are supporting them. The $50,000 goal is set to meet funeral expenses, hospital stays, medical bills, a long recovery ahead, and expenses lost at the business during this time of being unable to work.
