Help Monique With Expenses

Hi everyone, I am fundraising to help my step mother with basic and medical expenses as she has been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome.
SPS occurs in about one in a million people and is most commonly found in middle-aged people. Due to the rarity of this condition it is very difficult to diagnose. It took about three years of testing and experimenting with different medications to reach Monique’s diagnosis.
Currently Monique and my father cannot work because she requires assistance around the clock to take care of everyday tasks such as bathing, eating, or just getting out of bed. Insurance does not cover the intensive care that Monique requires so my father has not been able to work full time since May of 2020. Medical insurance and local resources have helped a bit, but not being able to work has made it difficult to cover medical and basic expenses, especially in the current economic climate.
