My name Is Ginssiyo

I'm an artist and I recently had to move back home with family after losing housing and pretty much everything else because of the pandemic and the effect it had on me.

My mental health obviously took a toll for the worse and finding employment became difficult.

Living, in general, became difficult, so I moved back home. I've recently started therapy which has been the best thing for me and hope to be able to keep going but maintaining therapy while also saving up for housing, my career, and living expenses has become a vicious cycle for me. I'm working odd jobs here like painting houses etc so I can move ASAP for the sake of my mental health and career. I am also tattooing and selling my artwork for living expenses. I am working vigorously to acquire funds to make my move to find stable housing for myself. My credit isn't the best due to college debt so finding a landlord to accept me back where I want to live will most likely rely on money until I can grow my credit. I am in unhealthy living conditions that are doing more harm to me mentally and physically than anything and are getting in the way of my growth. Making art is becoming more and more difficult due to space. I'm living out of a bin and focusing on the community projects, and events I want to see into fruition are becoming harder and harder to focus on. I have and still constantly apply for grants for personal use and for my community projects. I respectfully am now asking for help from anyone willing and with the means to help me find some peace and stability so I can continue to maintain it for myself, and create something for others to enjoy.

My artwork is driven by my black identity, community, and the environmental crisis we are all facing through the use of discarded and found materials and I have ambitions of giving back to communities through art, creative and educational workshops, along with other various community-based programmings.

The money will be used for:

Find Stable housing until I acquire proof of income from the job I get there(first/last/deposit)
Paying for therapy (100$ a month) for a handful of months until I receive my first paycheck from my new job
Down payment on studio for my Career, and Tattooing
Healthcare
Living expense Food, Vet fees, Dental/Medical assistance
