Dear Friends,
First of all I want to thank all of you who have been angels in my life. I consider all of whom I am writing here to fit into that category no matter how brief or long I’ve been blessed by your presence.
Indeed I have been blessed most assuredly since I decided to follow my heart and intuition, minimize my belongings to what I could fit in the little hatch back I had over 6 years ago and move to the Bay Area from Kansas City.
This funding campaign is to bring my health to vitality. For the past year and a half my physical health has been quite challenging. I have been working with a Medi-Cal Clinic for over a year now on symptoms ranging from months of on and off insomnia which then has led to
chronic fatigue, thyroid, intestinal and even cognitive thinking issues as well as other restorative muscle and joint issues. This has resulted in being less and less able to work and about a month a month ago I stopped working all together. I have tried many remedies including amino acid therapy, sleep meds, a sleep apnea machine, various meditation practices, physical therapy, a new therapist and a whole host of more natural products and other practices. I have tried to stay within my means but that just hasn't gotten the job done. I have seen many of these symptoms come and go and come back even
worse than before. At times I feel and may appear nearly normal. Other times I’ve literally been sprawled out on the floor from exhaustion or not able to gather my thoughts. To be quite honest gathering my thoughts to write this has been quite challenging. I am grateful for what I've been able to achieve over the past year and a half but after many results that didn’t quite work I have chosen a much more comprehensive program.
I am hopeful with the help I have recently received from a Naturopath and a therapy called Neuromuscular Reprogramming in addition to many practices I am continuing to do on my own. After a few weeks of
taking herbs suggested by the Naturopath, having a few Neuromuscular Reprogramming sessions and doing some exercises at home I am seeing some really good results, however it’s a process, unfortunately I do not have funds for the ongoing care and Medi-Cal is not geared to pay for the care I need .
More tests need to be done, I need to be on many more herbs, complete at least one extensive detox/cleanse, stay on my current Neuromuscular Reprogramming for several months which are all addressing the underlying issues.
I have been blessed by some generous cash gifts from my land lord/house mate and my mother which have provided a jump start on paying for one months supply of a few medical grade herbs which have begun to bring at least some of the symptoms to a workable state, a
consult with an Herbalist, and a 28 day deep detox kit.
While all of this is challenging in ways I could never have predicted, I am trusting my healing process and my life and not giving up. I believe my life to have great purpose that reaches far beyond health challenges or working my way through them.
As you may have guessed, I’ve tried many forms of prayer and meditation during this process. My guidance through this has led me to create this campaign and ask for the much needed help from my community at large.
The estimate for care was based on a six month program with the Naturopath, the herbs and the Neuromuscular Reprogramming Therapy. I am hopeful that I will be able return to work within the next few months, yet that will be a gradual process.
I am humbled and grateful that I am gifted free housing until I no longer need it. I am humbled and grateful to receive any offerings from you.

For many years now I have been dedicated to serving my soul’s path where ever that has led me. While it’s been challenging to accept where I am today, my guidance tells me that I have much more work to do on
this planet in this life time and I need to simply garish the courage to reach out and ask for more help at this time. While I have been resistant to be so bold to ask for this help I finally let go of my pride well enough
to see that this is an investment not only for me but also for my world. I have no idea whether my campaign will earn $5 or the entire amount I am asking. I am just being guided to put it out there and be grateful for every drop that comes in.
I could tell you countless stories of how the universe has graciously and generously provided for me in some truly amazing ways since I chose to follow my heart and soul. I have been provided many places to stay from early on in my journey westward from a camper next to an Ostrich pin to a beautiful home in Berkeley to now in a condo in Oakland and many other gracious stops along the way.
I’ve been provided work from odd jobs to caring for a dear man with a brain injury and another with Alzheimer’s to providing massage in a beautiful yoga studio and doing my own private healing practice.
I have met some incredibly beautiful people from folks who grew up in places simular to where I did to people from all over the globe.
Along the way I’ve learned to smile and dance a lot more and in many ways I’ve lived a very fulfilling life. My journey has been enriched by the depth and beauty of incredibly healing practices and communities like Family Constellations, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Powerful Men’s Circles, Hakomi Therapy, Vortex Healing, Kirtan, Sacred Chanupa Pipe Prayer Ceremony, Sound Healing Ceremonies, Sufi Dancing and a somatic practice called Biodanza to name but only several.
I’ve been fortunate enough to have been taught by some very talented and insightful Ministers, Shamans, Intuitives, a native Thai Massage Therapist, a Medicine Man, and Practitioners of all sorts, shapes and sizes.
On a residential street in Berkeley several blocks from down town along the sidewalk in someone’s front yard stands a tall row of bamboo. Attached to the stems are little tags and on a sign it says please make a wish. My wish: That I be able to do my part to help heal my community and my planet and that consciousness eradicates the pain and suffering we have and are afflicting on our world.
Will you help me reach my goal of a healthy and vital life so I can continue to contribute to our world in whatever way is appropriate for me to do?
I know I’m asking for a great deal here, yet I believe I have a great chance of nipping this thing where it stands and bringing myself far beyond this way of being.
I know I can’t expect that everyone will be willing or able to contribute, but if you could take a couple of minutes and listen to your heart and spirit, however that speaks to you and respond in whatever way is appropriate for you, that is all that I am asking.
