Hello, my name is Edward Rosas and I am writing to you today about an urgent medical emergency. On February 5, 2021 my family and I suffered a personal tragedy when my wife Patty Morgan-Rosas got sick and died while we were on vacation in La Paz, Mexico.
Fortunately, in my darkest hour an angel named Araceli Hool Cuevas, one of many wonderful neighbors arrived and guided me through confusing legal hurdles to help bring my wife home to New York. If it wasn’t for her assistance helping me translate with various government agencies and making arrangements I am not sure how I would have gotten through this nightmare. Unfortunately, this angel is in need of our help. Her son Raymundo Sanchez Hool has been diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Failure Stage 5 and is on dialysis. Recently, the dialysis has failed and Ray has had to be hospitalized to fight off dangerous infections. Thankfully Ray successfully fought off this last life threatening infection. The only long term solution is a Kidney transplant. The Mexican government transplant list is way too long and Ray will never make it to the top in time. His only answer is a privately paid transplant with a living donor of which there are many family and friends willing to do so. Ray is 34 years old with two young children, Valeria age 8 and Mael age 3 who need their father alive. Ray is the manager of the morning shift at Baja Bonita restaurant in La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico.
I am writing to you today and asking that you help a true angel whose son Ray is in desperate need of life saving medical intervention. The surgery will be performed in Guadalajara, Mexico. The Doctor and Hospital fees alone are the equivalent of 35,000 U S dollars which doesn’t include numerous pre and post operative expenses and medicine. The total price will be approximately 43,000 dollars. Money raised will be paid directly to the medical providers. I pray that you can donate any amount, no matter how small and or pass this message to your family and friends. The silver lining from the loss of my wife Patty would be that it served as a catalyst to help another family avoid loss and pain. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Sincerely,
Edward R Rosas Jr.
