Hello Family and Friends,
In late August 2015 I was on my way to work. At 7:25 AM I was rear ended. A woman who has a chronic condition was driving when she had a seizure, passed out at the wheel and hit me and another car. This occurred on the 134 freeway and stopped traffic for 3 hours. I was taken to Glendale Adventist Medical Center.My car was totalled.
Since then I have retained a lawyer who advised me that my claim will probably not settle or go to court for 6-12 months.
In the meantime, I have lost my job & my car. I have sustained injuries (head, neck, back, shoulders) that render my mobility very limited. I am in varying degrees of pain daily. The worst is the flashbacks & nightmares of the accident, along with the subsequent anxiety attacks. I have difficultly doing simple things like getting medication and groceries, laundry & personal care. . When I must go out to the doctor, I have to take up to 3 buses and the jarring ride makes me feel worse. I feel compelled to look for work because I have no income, but with my injuries & no car this is challenging at best. I just dont know what to do, so I am trying this. I am in constant fear of not being able to pay my bills now and until the case is resolved. I am overwhelmed and need help. I have a goal of $5750 so that I can buy an inexpensive car & pay my bills for a few months. I appreciate your kindness, generosity & good will. Thank you.
