Securing Arden’s future in memory of his Dad Conner

Hello world! My name is Arden Conner Gelwicks McGlade and I was born August 1, 2025. My first few hours in this life were quite an experience! I was born 2 weeks early, but I was still 7 lbs and both Mommy and I are ok. My Dada unfortunately was not there to see me being born. You see, he had been sick with cholangiocarcinoma (commonly known as bile duct cancer in his liver) for 2 years. On the morning before I was born, he went into cardiac arrest and was taken to a different hospital from where Mommy was in labor with me. After I was born on August 1, Mommy and I took ambulance rides to go be with Dada. My profile picture is of Mommy and Dada holding me for the first time. Dada passed away the next day, surrounded by the family that loved and supported him through his valiant effort to try to overcome the cancer. I’m sad that I will never meet him again, but know that he will be with me always and his family is here to take care of me.
