Logan needs your help!

Hello everyone!

This is Logan, a stray cat from a colony in South West Sydney. When we first met him, it was clear he had severe cat flu- his eyes and mouth were wet with discharge and his breathing extremely congested.

We were finally able to catch him and he was under the care of a volunteer for a few days before his vet consultation. His cat flu was so severe that antibiotics (amoxyclav and bisolvon) did not help relieve any of his symptoms.

At the vet, we found out that he only had 2 canine teeth left (no clue how the rest of his teeth fell off), his gums are inflamed (stomatitis) and his eyes are swollen due to his cat flu and possible infection. He was given a steroid/Convenia injection and an ointment to help improve his eyes. He will need a dental/neuter and potential eye surgery depending on how his eyes heal with the ointment. The surgery will be done next week.

His vet cost so far is $165 for the consultation and medication, and his surgery costs are estimated to be $800-$900. The vet hospital were extremely generous to offer a discount to help us, however, we do need help to pay for the rest.

When we first caught Logan, he was extremely timid and slept in his own urine. After some time in our care, he has come to be a huge sweetie who enjoys head scratches despite being in clear discomfort. We would love to give him the opportunity to enjoy a greater quality of life.
