Hello friends, restauranteurs, and foodies! We're writing this letter to our community with hopes of reaching the kindness in your heart. Our friend and coworker, Michael Urbano, has been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. He only discovered it recently due to him having debilitating headaches, dizziness, and nausea. He finally decided to go to the hospital where he received this life-altering information. Fortunately, Mike has not let this news defeat his spirit and sense of humor. Now, I'd like to talk about who Mike is! Mike has been a chef at Cappy's Restaurant for 2 1/2 years. He graduated from the CIA in 2012. In his downtime, he likes to fish, hike, and obviously.......cook! In April he married his best friend and soulmate, Celi, and together they have the most perfectly blended family with Lily, his newly gained stepdaughter, and Caleb, his son. Family means everything to Mike. The Lawton Family will provide Cappy’s Restaurant as the venue for a fundraiser event organized by his coworkers on Monday, June 12 from 12-4, where they will be selling homemade BBQ plates. The funds from the BBQ plate sale, as well as those raised on this GoFundMe page will go towards assisting Mike with medical expenses. Anything will help!
