Support Jennifer's Battle Against Cancer

My name is Jennifer Moser. I am 59 years young. I am married to my best friend, Kevin. We have been married for 33 years. We have two children and four grandchildren. We also have two very spoiled dogs.

In January 2021, I was diagnosed with stage 2 colorectal cancer. I went through six weeks of chemo and radiation. In October 2022, the cancer returned, stage 3, and I underwent a very big surgery in December of that same year. Recovery took six months. In March 2024, several scans showed that the cancer was back. My doctors at Novant, who have taken very good care of me, said that I would need to go to Duke for treatment.

I will begin chemo and radiation again on June 12th. The treatment will be very aggressive. Radiation twice a day with chemo for three weeks. We will have to stay in Durham during this time at The Caring House. Although much more affordable than a hotel, it is still an unexpected expense. This is in addition to the medical expenses I have accumulated since 2021. Additional chemo will be required during the weeks/months to follow. Surgery, once the tumor has shrunk, will more than likely be needed.
