Thank you for taking the time to read my Mother's story. My Mom, Maria Lopez, has been dealing with heart and lung disease for the past 10 years which has greatly impacted her everyday life and even makes simple tasks difficult for her. At the beginning of the year she joined the gym again, started working on getting herself stronger and healthier, but on June 14th, 2023 my mom was admitted to the emergency room for abdominal pain and we find out that she has stage 3 cervical cancer. Since then she has been losing tons of weight and dealing with lots of pain, but still she stands strong with a smile on her face and still thinks about taking care of others before herself. Due to my Mother’s weight and preexisting lung and heart conditions, we believe chemotherapy and radiation would be too detrimental to her health and potentially deadly, however, there is a holistic cancer treatment center which we believe is the best way for her to get treated. The cost to be admitted to this clinic is $80,000. Any contribution whether it be a donation or sharing this fundraiser is greatly appreciated by our entire family. All we want is to keep my mom healthy and we know she will get through this tough battle because she is one of the strongest women we know.
