Qwyano All Nation 2024 Tribal Canoe Journeys

We are raising funds to help our canoe family attend 2023 tribal canoe journeys in Muchleshoot. This includes safety equipment for All nations Paddles up, support boat fuel and food to help make the canoe journey possible.

We send our prayers and well wishes to each of you and hope you are well and safe.

As you know every year we undertake a canoe journey to help heal our community and to support the other canoes and canoe families with safety equipment, food and support boats. We strive to make space for new communities and those who are coming for the first time. Over the past two years, we have been a part of a collective group forming up the All Nations Paddles up society: to carry the vision forward of making space and support for all the canoe families. This will be our fourth major trip as a collective group, and we are grateful to be a part of the growing movement to make canoe journeys sustainable and accessible to all. We also have an offer of a support boat from our relative Petter Copper.

This year we journey to Muckleshoot, arriving July 31. We begin gathering on July 17th in Nanaimo and prepare food to help host the training at shell beach on the 19th. We will then paddle to shell beach on the 18th and connect with many of the extended canoe families and friends.

In the meantime, we are starting a build of a veterans canoe if any ones are local, we would love extra hands.

We need your support to make this year's paddle happen; please share our post and links, follow us along our route, and please encourage others to donate and, most importantly, continue to share the love and good feelings we all hold for our friends and neighbours those most need of healing.
