Emergency Vet bill
Donation protected
Hello this little beautiful boys name is Bertie. He is a 3 year old Pug-Zu and he is a very happy active boy. He went to the vets thinking he had an obstruction in his belly due to having sickness and diarrhoea. The vets sent him home after giving him a sickness jab and some binding paste. He deteriorated over the weekend and seemed to be in a lot of pain. We took him back Monday and the Vet admitted him. They still thought it could be something to do with his stomach so put him on a drip and done an X-ray which they had to put him to sleep for them to do the X-ray. We were allowed to take him home with some pain relief. Over night he deteriorated and started to struggle to stand up. We took him back to the vets and they put him on a drip, done a scan, gave him diazepam for pain and then confirmed they now think it’s his spine. He now
can not use his back legs.
the vet bill over the last few days has come up to the insurance amount of £4000. The vets have referred him to get an MRI. This costs £2500 then the operation is £4500.
the vets do not do a payment plan and they are making us pay £2000 up front.
we have managed to scrap this together but we need £5000 to pay when he is collected within 1-2 weeks.
my mum has just had the all clear on her cancer last week after having mouth cancer for the second time in 4 years. The extreme operations she has been through have left her Disabled.
she is on her own since her partner passed away and she wanted Bertie to keep her company. He is a very cuddly boy.
please help us with anything you can afford to give so we can get Bertie back and start the long recovery journey.
