In the wake of my mothers passing I would like to honor the legacy of my mothers service as a public official and community change agent  in Kinston, NC and my fathers purple heart duties in Vietnam by establishing a scholarship fund in their honor.  The scholarship will begin being awarded in June of 2019 in the amount of $500 to a senior from Kinston High School who demonstrates their ability to lead, serve, and act with authenticity and humility.

Our goal of $5000 is to establish the fund and guarantee it's preservation for at least 10 years.  It is my hope that this campaign exceed my expectations and allow us to give more.

Thank you for your support of my parents legacy. I am because they were.
