OUR CRISIS
From 2017 spring, YouTube made some huge changes in their policy, that severely affected our channel since we produce Islamic content. These extreme YouTube changes have caused our channels earnings to drop at a significantly low percentage, in fact as low as 75%, which is making it very difficult to continue our work.
We rely on our YouTube revenue and as well as your donations to continue producing high quality content. Each video we produce costs hundreds of dollars depending on the length, and our longer videos can even cost up to thousands of dollars.
As you know IQRA Cartoon is a non-profit organization that focuses on trying to teach accurate historical Islamic education with high quality animation for children and for Muslims and non-Muslims all around the world. We are currently serving over a million viewers per month with our videos and it is one of the most trusted Islamic channels for children.
But as we said...with the changes that YouTube has done, it is becoming very difficult for us to continue.
At first our organization thought that it would be a temporary situation and we could survive with your donations. But as time has passed by we have entered in a huge amount of debt from our personal loans.
Of course all of these personal loans could’ve been paid off, if we only started a paid channel, which means all our viewers would have to pay to watch our videos, and that is not what we want. We don’t want to have a paid channel because if we do, only a few people can benefit.
Our mission is to reach every corner of the world and teach true Islamic lessons to our future generations. Children love to see cartoons and this is the best way to teach complicated Islamic topics in an extremely easy way. However good quality animation is extremely expensive and we Alhamdulilah came this far with your support and Allah(swt)’s help.
In quran surah An-Nahl Ayat 125 Allah (swt) told us to invite the people in Islam with wisdom in a beautiful way.
