March 27th started out as normal busy Saturday for Myron and Kellye Courtney. Little did they know that their world would be drastically turned upside down with one dreadful phone call. ”Your son, Qwest Courtney, has been in a horrible car accident. He is in critical condition and is on life support.” As a parent, how do you process that information? You do not; you can not. You completely lose it and feel like your heart is breaking a thousand times over.
For those of you that know Qwest, you know that he is full of life and love. Qwest has the most addictive and contagious personality. He loves to laugh, play jokes, sing, dance, spend time with his family and close friends...and absolutely loves photography. He has persevered and grown into an energetic, enthusiastic, and talented young man. Qwest graduated from Arlington Lamar High School and is currently a senior at Prairie View A&M University; majoring in Mass Communications. He was on track to graduate from college this fall and was truly looking forward to the next chapter in his life. His journey and life plans have been completely altered by this accident.
He is now on a new journey of complete healing and full recovery. He has a long road ahead of him, but we are believing and trusting in God every step of the way.
The family has felt all of your thoughts and prayers. Please, please, please don’t stop praying for Qwest. Along with your prayers, we are asking for any financial blessings that you are able to give, which will help with medical expenses, rehabilitation, and the family's temporary relocation expenses.
We have faith and believe that Qwest will make a full recovery, and he will be back behind the camera soon. Oh what a testimony he will have!
With sincere appreciation and love,
The Courtney Family
