Medical expenses for Joseph Halim
Donation protected
As most of you already know, on Saturday June 11th, Joseph was involved in a very serious motorcycle accident. This was a hit and run and they have not caught the driver, this continues to be an ongoing investigation. Joseph was knocked off from his motorcycle by car and then was run over by that same car. Joseph suffered very serious injuries that led him into the ICU in NY Presbyterian hospital. Joseph sustained intensive injuries that included 7 broken ribs, a collapsed lung, broken collarbone, many broken bones in his back, and a broken scapula which is the hardest bone to break.
Joseph had his first surgery on June 13th to repair his ribs and his lungs. He had another surgery on June 30th to repair his collarbone and his scapula. This surgery was postponed from the original date due to Joseph having fluid in his lungs which he had to go in to get treated for. This surgery is not common and is very complicated. The surgeons had to re-break most of the bones so they can fully repair them.
The family is very grateful for everyone’s support and prayers. We ask that you continue to keep Joseph in your prayers as he has a long road to recovery. We are all hopeful for a complete recovery.
Joseph is a warrior and he is pushing as hard as he can, he is a fighter! We all love him so much and he means the world to us.
Thank you again for all the support and prayers!
