A friend in need

I have created this GoFundMe to help a friend in need.

Natasha gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on December 31st 2023, at 37 weeks and went home 2 days later. A few days into being home she realized her son (Mikhaïl) wasn’t taking to any feedings, and when he would eat, he would throw back up, and he just wasn’t that “normal” infant. He was never alert, slept all the time. She started to notice breathing patterns that started to be of concern. At his first pediatric doctors appointment post birth, she found out he had lost 15% of his birth weight, which immediately sent them to the children’s hospital here in Austin, TX. What was initially just a thought of feeding intolerance, turned into her worst nightmare.

Her then 1.5 week old baby coded in the hospital and was sent down to ICU, where he’s been intubated, surviving on oxygen help, living on sugar water for nutrients as he can’t eat anything right now, hooked up to an EEG machine, and heavily sedated.

Now little Mikhaïl is almost a month old, and has not left the hospital. After having multiple seizures, and coding multiple times, they ran multiple tests and have confirmed that he has a form of epilepsy and has inactivity in his brain . Mikhaïl has a 24/7 care team and will always need one, he is facing a very long road including a tracheotomy. There are very low days and uncertain days on the future of this sweet little baby. Each day that sweet Mikhaïl is here is a blessing.

With this being said Natasha is unable to work and she is a single mother with 2 other children in the house (ages 2 & 8) and the bills do not stop. I am asking for any help so Natasha can keep her bills paid and food in the house for the kids along with help with childcare while she is at the hospital, she is doing this alone with no help from the father and anything would be appreciated, and prayers are much needed as well.
