Dear GoFundMe reader,
Thank you for taking the time to read about this fundraiser for Ryan Rodriguez. I met Ryan several years ago when he began his plumber apprenticeship with my husband. Ryan is a remarkably gregarious individual, often referred to as a "brother from another mother" by his many friends. My hope is that this GoFundMe campaign will reach all who are able and willing to offer support, either spiritually through prayer or financially through donations.
Ryan, born and raised in Lubbock, is a lifelong soccer player, a skilled plumber, and most importantly, a proud new father. Ryan, his wife, Imani, and baby Asa couldn’t have been more blissful.
Last Friday, their lives were irrevocably altered when a severe headache prompted Imani to rush Ryan to the emergency room. He was diagnosed with an aneurysm, necessitating emergency surgery.
It has been nearly a week, and Ryan remains intubated. A difficult road for the new family lies ahead. Surrounded by family and friends, Ryan is restrained and unable to hold his infant son. His condition remains critical.
Please join us in supporting Ryan, Imani, and baby Asa through this challenging chapter of their lives. As a nurse, I know that support will require long-term goals and I hope with the help of community, friends , and family that you can join us in this ongoing effort. I humbly ask you, dear reader, for any support that you may be so blessed to share with this young family during their time of need. Whether it be a donation, prayer, or a share online to reach others, we thank you kindly for your generosity. We also would like to thank the Neuro-ICU team for the exceptional care. ❤️ updates will follow
