Chasing Dreams

Hello there friends and family! I am headed off to Pittsburgh on July 18 to the NPC Masters Nationals Figure competition where I will compete to earn my pro card.  If I do not earn my pro card in Pittsburgh, I will be following that up the next weekend in Las Vegas to try at the NPC USAs. I need your help, as I am about to chase my biggest dream in my fitness journey so far.

Eight years ago I began teaching classes at a local gym to supplement my teaching salary. What started out as work, soon became my passion. I fell in love with helping people achieve their own personal goals, watching members continue to get stronger and achieve their own successes with weight loss, strength gain, or with races or competitions they pursued.

I’ve gained many of you as friends along the way. You have inspired, supported (emotionally, mentally, physically and financially), and encouraged me as I pursued my own goals and dreams. I often receive emails, texts, messages or phone calls from people about how I have inspired them to pursue their own personal goals.  So, as I make my way to the stage/s in July, it is all of you that I carry up there with me hoping to continue to inspire and motivate to chase your dreams just as you motivated and encouraged me to continue to chase mine.

This is where you can help! This is a very expensive sport to compete in and we are willing to do whatever takes to continue to pursue this passion that we hope will then further my career in the fitness industry in the future. But I can’t do it alone.

Over the past year and a half, as I competed in a few local shows, I had several friends support me by offering their services (hair, makeup, nails, suit sponsorship) which really helped out financially. Knowing that at Nationals those expenses would go up, I have reached out to others for sponsorships to help alleviate some of those costs as well. I continue to work my full time job as a teacher and teach several classes at gyms throughout the week to help with the costs, even picking up extra classes and other part time jobs when I do have extra time. Will you consider giving any amount to help cover some of these costs? I can’t do it without you.

Any funds not used for these events I will “pay-it-forward” to help someone else pursue their fitness goals.

It takes a pretty amazing team to keep me physically, mentally and emotionally strong through all of this and that support is what helps me climb that mountain—every valley and peak along the way. I take you all up there with me on that stage, and I hope you all know that you are the reason I am there.
