Our beloved parents, married 44 years, passed away very close to one another. Our Dad, John, 66 years old was diagnosed with bladder cancer last Spring. He was an Army Veteran who served in Vietnam. We truly believe his bladder cancer was caused by agent orange while in the Vietnam. We were told that it was caught early enough to where he could go through chemo, and then have a surgery to remove his bladder and that he'd most likely be with us another 20 some years. He fought and fought and went through everything possible to get better. His battle sadly ended March 1, 2016. He did anything and everything for us all. His main worry before he passed was leaving my mom. I made him a promise we'd take care of her and not to worry. We did that exact thing. We made sure mom had everything she needed, and we stayed with her to make sure she wouldn't become lonely and reassured her we were there, as we always have been. This past Saturday evening, I went over to visit and brought my mom dinner. I stayed until close to midnight, and my sister came to stay. So I went home and got into bed. Not even a half hour later, my sister frantically called us saying something was wrong with mom she wasn't breathing. I never drove so fast in my life. Pulled up to an ambulance and cop cars. Ran into their place to find my mom laying on the floor getting cpr. I kept crying and saying please mom no, please mom no. She was gone. Twelve days after my dad passed, mom passed of a broken heart and went to join my dad in heaven. Our dear mom, Betty, age 62 went to be with the love of her life. We all always felt it in our hearts that if something were to ever happen to one, the other would probably follow, as they couldn't be apart. Our world came to a stop. They were the most loving, caring, sweetest people you could meet. Do anything for anyone. They left behind to cherish their memories, myself (Jen) and my 2 sisters (Courtney & Beth). They were the proud grandparents of 7 grandchildren. As we have alot of unexpected expenses, we thought we'd reach out for any help possible. They were and are now, "A Match Made in Heaven."
