Matt Bernal Needs Help
Matt got in a roll-over truck accident on June 20. He was ejected from the vehicle and has 4 broken spine vertebrae, 3 broken ribs, and crushed his left hand. He was in New Mexico but was airlifted back to Parkview Hospital Trauma Care in Pueblo near to home.
He had surgery on his hand on June 23, and is in a spine brace. The doctors are waiting to see whether the vertebrae are stable enough to use just the brace, or will require back surgery. Unfortunately, Matt has no medical insurance, and the medical bills are already approaching $100,000.00 and expected to at least double. Additionally, he won’t have income for the next several months. Our goal is to cover the medical bills.
I am Matt’s Mom, and have watched him work so hard for 10 years to build a business. If these medical bills aren’t paid, he will lose everything he’s worked for. Matt is a really big- hearted wonderful guy who has helped so many people. He is the President of the Latino Scholarship Board, serves on the BlueSky Enterprises Board for the Developmentally Disabled, and is involved in numerous community activities. He works very hard and has helped so many in his life. He gives to Pueblo, so we are hoping his community can give a little back to him. Anything would help, even $5.00. And anything will be so greatly appreciated by Matt.
