If you know Joey, you know that he is a young man with a very big heart. He is someone that you can call anytime, day or night, to give you a ride home, pull you out of a ditch or just to talk. No matter what the situation might be Joey is always willing to lend a hand.
In March 2024, Joey was diagnosed with Embryonal Carcinoma, a rare and aggressive testicular cancer. Although he was told that it was caught early, due to its aggressive nature it had already spread to his lymph nodes. Following surgery, his treatment plan was four sessions of five consecutive, eight- hour days of chemotherapy every third week with the hopes that this would knock out the cancer from his lymph nodes. Mid- September 2024, Joey finished his chemo treatments with both his bloodwork and CT scan showing normal.....GREAT NEWS!!!
In December 2024, Joey returned to Oncology for his three month checkup, bloodwork and CT scan. Not only has the cancer returned to his lymph nodes, the tumor is now twice the original size.
On February 5, 2025, Joey will undergo Retroperitoneal lymph node dissection to remove the lymph nodes in his abdomen.
Joey is trying to stay as positive as possible. Needless to say, between the cancer treatment and recovery it has taken a toll both physically and financially, just to do it all over again this year. He can use your help. He greatly appreciates any financial assistance that you can afford to help him through this difficult period.
