Mike Rapp Cancer Fundraiser

In early April Mike went in to see a doctor about a nagging backache. They took x-rays and called the next day to advise him that he has cancer in his liver, pancreas, lungs and brain. He needed immediate treatment with chemo and radiation to treat the cancer cells and he was forced to take a leave of absence during treatment. In most cases, cancer treatments are not covered by insurance and are extremely expensive. Not being able to work is not beneficial to the large medical bills his treatments rack up and he needs some help from friends and family who are fortunate enough and able to help who might want to give a gift of money to Mike and his girlfriend Roxanne to help their burden of growing medical costs during his fight to beat cancer and enjoy his life again once he recovers from treatments.
The Benefit set for 07/24/2016 will be held at the Pool and Yacht Club in St. Paul and is $25 donation which will be a Spaghetti dinner and Silent auction to raise funds as well.
Many people who cannot attend the benefit that day still want to help so I created this Go Fund Me account for those who wish to help but cannot go to the benefit or maybe live too far away. I know Mike has touched a lot of people over many years as a bartender both in Mankato and in the cities. He's always been a hard worker sometimes 6 to 7 days a week never less than 40 hours and never thought twice to drop everything and go help someone if he could without a second thought if he knew that they needed it.
He's someone everyone always enjoys being around and is as kind and respectful as anyone could be. He would never ask for help for himself but at this time I know he really needs whatever people can spare for helping to pay for medical needs and other debts as time passes.
I hope this account can serve as an additional resource in addition to his benefit dinner on the 20th so as many people that care about him can show their support here if unable to attend that day and this can remain open as needed until hopefully he is able to return to work at Jax Cafe bartending again.
