Janice’s Battle with HER2 & Metastatic Breast Cancer
Hi, our dear friend and co-worker Janice is going through an adamant time in her life.
When first diagnosed, she had to have emergency spine and arm surgery as the cancer had fractured both. Spine surgery has limited her movement, as she can no longer bend her back, and she uses a back brace to provide support. The cancer has spread also to her hips and sacrum, which causes pain when walking/sitting; she uses a cane for walking. She has endured various chemo treatments, but cancer continues to progress. She is currently undergoing radiation and taking chemo in pill format to see if this line of treatment will help combat the cancer. It has been a very difficult time, as side effects have been hard to handle; however, she continues to fight the fight. Due to the many treatments, she needs all the help to cover medical bills and other bills.
