Hello, I’m Shade and I’m raising money for my service dog's cancer treatment. I recently found out that Boogie has a cancerous mass growing in the entirety of his left nasal passage and he only has a couple of months left to live if it goes untreated.
I met Boogie when he was just 4 weeks old and I fell in love with him right then. He got to come live with me 2 weeks later and he’s been by my side, literally, ever since. As a dog trainer, I did all of his training myself, which has made our bond incredibly strong. He’s my world and I honestly don’t know what I’d do without him at this point; I can’t even think about it. He’s done so much for me. He’s kept me safe, he’s kept me going when I’ve felt like giving up, he’s been the most loyal friend I could ever ask for, and he deserves the same in return. Please help me repay him by saving his life like he’s saved mine. He’s only 5 and has so much life left to live.
I have scheduled a second biopsy for Boogie that is to be done hopefully this week. They aren’t entirely sure what type of cancer it is, and in order for them to treat it as aggressively as possible, they need to know for certain. After that, we can begin the process of radiation therapy which will cost upwards of $10,000. The current estimate I am posting is for palliative radiation, that is the only type of radiation they can do without me getting a second biopsy. Once I get the second biopsy, and the type of cancer is confirmed, they will be able to do stereotactic radiation therapy, which may be more expensive, I will post the estimate for that when I have it. Thank you so much to everyone.
