On Thursday morning, December 3rd, the home health nurse that had been monitoring Cat (Jelly Beane) Reichardt throughout her pregnancy had difficultly locating baby Sage's heartbeat.  The nurse sent Cat to the emergency room.  Ken (Gully McCaulley) used his best driving skills to meet her in record time. 

As most of you know baby Sage was a most wanted and anticipated little guy.  When the nurse, using fetal monitors could hear no heartbeat,  an ultrasound was ordered.  The ultrasound tech was able to confirm the news we all wanted to deny.  Baby Sage was stillborn.

Later that day Sage was delivered by C-section and Cat and Ken authorized testing to determine how their precious boy had died.  Testing revealed that neither Cat, nor baby Sage had any unusual health issues.  The doctor was able to determine that his passing was a result of an umbilical cord accident.  

In in the State of Texas babies past a certain gestational age and over a certain weight - baby Sage met both criteria - must be handled by a funeral home.  

Ken also needs some time to grieve with Cat and see to her physical and emotional health.  This GoFund Me request will make up the difference that they cannot.

Please accept my personal gratitude for any help you can offer.  Although we will all miss my little nephew, it is Cat and Ken whose hearts are broken.
