As most of you know I was medically retired from the Air Force due to an unexpected diagnosis of Epilepsy Disorder. I had a seizure on the flight back to Turkey (coming off mid tour) in May 2014, another months later, and had another one once I returned home in January. I returned home from Turkey in January and was officially retired in February. Not knowing what the next step would be for me, career wise, I began job searching immediately after learning I was being medically retired. Like most people searching for jobs, I put in application after application after application. I didn't hear back from most places, but finally found a job, which I start in mid April.
So what brings us to gofundme? Well, financially we're stuck in a not so good place. And even coming to this point and asking for help isn't easy for us. Not having a steady check, we've depleted our savings from paying bills, buying groceries (which includes a gluten/dairy free diet for our son) and natural remedies to treat our son's Autism. Our family has helped us financially as much as they can, which is why we came here. I won't receive pay for my new job until May. That's leaving us a total of 2 months with very little income. We really just need a little extra help to pay our rent for this month and to cover some bills.
Again, this is hard for us to ask for help. And anything that is given to us is more appreciated than you will ever know. Thank you and God Bless.
