This is Bridgette and Paula from Twinnies Pelican Seabird Rescue. We run a seabird bird rehab facility 24/7 and have never turned a bird away. We rescue them, and give them any necessary medications for rehabilitation. Care can last anywhere from 2 weeks to 9 months. We never give up on a bird.
We never skimp on the quality of food. We go through 7 loads of washing every day, and the machines are running non-stop!
We will use funds to help the facility in many ways including:
- Ongoing costs, food bills
- Repairs to our older building
- A disabled toilet for people who visit which anyone can use
