Dear Friends, Family & Community,
It is with a heavy, broken heart that we announce the sudden passing of my father, Quy Dinh Tran, on January 1st, 2024. He was only 55 years old.
Fondly known as Mr. Quy/Kenny, he was a devoted son, brother, uncle, father, husband, friend, neighbor.
“Kenny-Buddy” was also nothing short of a dedicated employee… having worked side-by-side with my mother (his best friend and the love of his life until the very end) at the Disneyland Resort area 7-Eleven Store #29057 since autumn of 1989 - that’s nearly 35 faithful years! - and my entire life! A true example of hard work and loyalty.
Dad most loved engaging with people from all cultural backgrounds and corners of the world, hoping to travel to those places one day. He was always overprotective of his daughter, wife, home, and store. We felt safe in the company of our self-proclaimed bodyguard.
My Dad’s energy was unmatched! He was truly larger than life and was always the silliest, most boisterous personality in the room; he definitely left his mark (& showed off his sweet dance moves!) wherever he went. Since I was his only child, he always did everything in his power to ensure I was happiest kid in the world on a daily basis.
Mr. Quy was so proud of his little family, carrying and proudly showing photos of us everywhere he went. Now we only have these sentimental pictures and memories to remember him by.
For those who have reached out and have asked how to help… this is one way to assist with the funeral ceremonies, potential bills, bereavement time, grief counseling, and other unexpected expenses. All funds will go directly to our small family to cover any unforeseen costs due to this tragedy.
We wholeheartedly thank you for the support, prayers, and donations during this incredibly difficult time.
I’ll love and miss you forever, baba; you are at peace now.
Eternally Grateful,
Linda & Trang
