You could help save my life.

Hello,

My name is Amanda and I’m asking for your help. Help with funds to cover medical care that will keep me alive. I was diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis when, the worst case doctors say they’ve been presented with. They’ve told me my case overwhelms the doctors here because they’re not capable of providing the level of care needed. What I’m surviving through is crippling, physically and mentally. At my age, not being able to provide basic care for my self without help at times, it’s unbearable due to the Rhumatoid Arthritis pain. I have suffered through emergency open heart surgery, a compromised immune system, severe anemia, swelling in arms and legs, vomiting. All of my joints hurt, even my skin. I’m unable to stand for even a breeze on my skin because the pain is so great at times. Also, horrible rashes that leave open ulcers on my skin that refuse to heal for many years at a time. Recently I’m dealing with stage 4 kidney failure. I’m on a national transplant list now and on the cusp of needing dialysis. Which is frightening because my doctors told me in my body’s condition it will give out within 2 years.

I am only 44 years old. Grew as a single mother and want to live longer than that with an as close to normal life as I can have. That’s my wish. I’ve refused the use of pain medications. I prefer a more natural approach to a healthier care for the body. Doing so I found a center in Florida that has a treatment plan that can give me that. The only things stopping me are I’m on social security disability and have Mainecare for insurance. Mainecare refuses to pay for claims out of state and the treatment plan is too expensive for them to cover in state. We settled in Maine for the beauty not their healthcare system.

I’m asking for a chance to live, please. I know times are tough right now, but ANYTHING will help us reach my goal. I know I’m worth it. If you knew me I believe you’d feel the same. I will be in your debt the rest of my life, however long.
