"The Autumn Girl" Short Film

"The Autumn Girl" is a passion project that we're doing because we love making movies. We have created over a dozen films in and around Southwest Michigan over the past several years, but the thing that makes this particular project extra special is our cast. We had dozens of kids from all over the country (and even a couple overseas) audition for roles in the film, and over the past few weeks, we have selected the top talent to star in the movie. The phenomenal young actors highlighted in the video are really what the film depends on and is driven by, and it will be exciting to watch them bring the story to life through their characters.

While all of the actors on this project are volunteers, we do have plenty of other expenses that come naturally with making a movie. Because the film takes place in the 1960s and features dozens of characters with multiple wardrobe changes, one of the biggest expenses on the project is the clothing. Additionally, we are covering the cost of meals for all the cast, crew, parents, and extras each day, which is a big undertaking. There's also the expense of props, sets, rentals, and post-production.
