"Pump Life" a Film by Colleen McGregor
Donation protected

As you may or may not already know, Colleen and I have been producing a short documentary film, which she conceived of and directed called "Pump Life". The film is a window into the lives of 3 different women in LA who have to pump their breast milk at home, at work and on the go.
Having pumped exclusively herself for close to 9 months, Colleen realized the potential of this topic to make an eye-opening documentary piece and so she quickly put together a small crew (all working for nothing) to shoot the film.
Since then, we've been working on it together here and there with what little free time we have these days and it's really shaping up to be something great. It's 25 minutes long and quite moving.
We are at a standstill, however, due to the fact that the movie needs a lot of professional sound editing/mixing work as well as a musical score. Neither of us are fully capable of completely handling tasks such as those with our aforementioned lack of free time, nor are we professionally qualified to do the amount of sound work that this film requires.
So for Mother's Day this year, I have setup this GoFundMe page for Colleen without her knowing. (It's a Mother's Day surprise!) and I'm sending this to you all, her closest friends and family, in the hopes that we could help raise enough money to help her finish this wonderful film and get it out into the world.
In case you were curious, your contribution would directly help in these areas:
- Sound Design (hiring a sound designer to help clean up audio and add sounds where needed)
- Musical Score (hiring of a talented and professional composer to score the film)
- Final Sound Mix (combining all of the sound and music together and making it sound professional and coherent)
- Graphic Art and Credits (hiring a graphic artist to help make the on-screen text and credits look professionally done)
- Submitting to Film Festivals (The cost to submit to one film festival ranges anywhere from $0 - $100 depending on several factors)
We appreciate anything you can do to help!
