"Out of Many" is a story about the intersection between youth and privilege within the context of Kingston, Jamaica.
I (Rebecca Williams) am a Jamaican filmmaker attending the Savannah College of Art of Design. This project is for my senior thesis film; my final film in school.
My story centers around a young girl; Asha. She is from a politically influential family and is essentially surrounded by a bubble of privilege. One night, on her way to her friends house, she sees the body of a street cleaner and that bubble of ignorance is popped. The film then follows Asha for the next twelve hours as she absorbs and processes the event.
The funds raised will go toward paying cast and crew for their hard work and dedication along with props, wardrobe, equipment and travel expenses.
I am shooting from the 9-12 of January and hope to raise all the funds shortly thereafter.
I hope you contribute!
Everyone who contributes will be invited to on of the premieres and will receive a free gift!
