"OperaAID" For Singers and Accompanists

This fundraiser has been set up to help support Opera Singers and Accompanists who have been suffering financially as a direct result of the 2019 Coronavirus outbreak.
The proceeds will be used to fund concerts, recitals, recordings and other types of performance. I feel it is important to provide performance opportunities and also raise further funds from these activities to help others.
As an Operatic Soprano, married to International Operatic Tenor, John Daszak, I have many friends and colleagues in the Opera world who are in a similar situation. As a result of cancellations and theatre closures enforced by international governments, many thousands have lost their source of income and are struggling to support their families. Governments have been slow to act and have not put in place significant support to help everyone.
I feel we need to act now to alleviate their suffering. Many have lost nearly 6 months income at this point and it will be months, if not years, before things return to normal and live performances return to Theatres and Concert Halls.
The intention is that funds from this, and other fundraising activities, will go into a central fund called "OperaAID". My vision is that this fund will be a charity which will then continue to be a haven for Singers and Accompanists who need financial help in the future and that it will be open to all.
Please help by giving as much or as little as you feel able to. And please raise awareness by sharing this "gofundme" page with as many people as possible.
