"Lydia" author Karen Poston cancer diagnosis

In late July singer-songwriter Karen Poston ("Lydia," "Flowered Dresses") was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma - the same cancer that killed her mother, grandmother and aunt.

Hers was caught earlier, but she will still need surgery and chemotherapy. She has insurance, but is facing an expected $20,000 in out of pocket expenses in the coming months. It's going to be a long, hard road.

She will be relying on her husband, John, her friends, and fans of her music to help get her through this. Thanks for any help you are able to send her way.
