The Morris Family
Donation protected
If you are lucky enough to know the Morris family you are aware of their compassion for others. Growing up friends would refer to them as the Arnold family from the classic TV show, "The Wonder Years". We are hoping to help them "get by with a little help" from their friends.
Last year Robert was diagnosed with end stage renal disease which is the gradual loss of kidney function. With this news his mother, Gerrie wasted no time to schedule the tests to find out if she would become a match to donate her own kidney. However, the great news that Gerrie was a match was soon put on hold due to complications with Rob's health. Currently Rob is receiving dialysis 3 times a week to help maintain what little kidney functioning he has left while waiting for his complications to resolve in order to undergo the transplant surgery.
With all of the time spent on dialysis, long hospital stays and resting to improve his health, Rob has been unable to work. His days are spent on Martha's Vineyard where he is loved by all and where, when he is feeling well enough, he enjoys long walks on the beach and painting. However, this is becoming more difficult to maintain as the financial burden grows heavier. We are asking for any amount of financial support in order to lighten their burden and allow Rob to continue enjoying his days on the island.
Any amount is helpful for the family we all know and love as our own. Wayne, Gerrie, Rob and Mike have had a hard year and can use all of the support and prayers sent their way.
