"Cutting Edge" Horror/Comedy Short Film

Hello! We're two DIY filmmakers from NYC (Director, Andrew Madden and Writer, Sabrina Mendoza) that run a small instagram page called StartingOffScared and are raising money for our thesis film, Cutting Edge!
Appetizer (Logline): Cutting Edge is a horror/comedy about a woman named Tracy Smith who hires a freelance VHS converter/editor to turn her homemade cooking show into a reality; the problem is that her means of cooking maybe a bit too... human?

Dessert (Our Story): The idea of Cutting Edge started in 2015 when Andrew wrote a 8 page script in his freshman year of college with a similar concept except with a traveling knife salesman. The following year, Sabrina took over the story, adding the nostalgia of early 2000s Food Network shows and began writing a fuller script. The final revisions were written in 2019, so if you're doing the math, we've been working on this sucker for 4 years! Now that we've got our story straight, we want to bring it to life on the big screen and we definitely need your help!

Our love of horror hopefully is infectious and we'd love for you to see our final product regardless in April 2020 where the film will be screened at the SVA Theater for FREE!
