Donation protected
AUTHOR, JOHN CEBALLOS, A.A., B.A., M.S., is creating a book to be titled: "Colonel Bob" and the Troopers of Benavidez-Patterson, an insight into the military accolades of LTC (Ret.) Robert E. Chisolm with related experiences involving fellow Paratroopers of the Roy P. Benavidez-Robert M. Patterson "All Airborne" Chapter, 82nd Airborne Division Assn., Inc., of El Paso, Texas.

The Author is in need of financial support to publish the literary piece.  Donations of $50 or above shall entitle the donor to an autographed copy (by author & Bob), upon release of the publication.

A portion of the proceeds shall also support the "Padovano Family Scholarship Fund" of the El Paso, Texas based Chapter of the 82nd Airborne.

Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Robert E. Chisolm, affectionately referred to as Col. Bob, around the El Paso Chapter of the 82nd Airborne, is a highly respected combat veteran of the three major World War II Campaigns in Europe who endured additional combat assignments in Korea and Vietnam.
As a charter member of the 82nd Airborne Division Association, Bob was involved in establishing one of the most revered Veterans organization of that association, The Roy P. Benavidez-Robert M. Patterson “All Airborne” Chapter of El Paso, Texas.
This literary piece will tell the story of this highly regarded organization and will feature the exemplary contributions made by the individuals involved in its development.
And, although the main emphasis of this work will evolve around Col. Chisolm’s life and exemplary military service, it will also highlight the various conflicts in which he was involved and shed light upon the stories of various fellow veterans.
They will include: Angel Romero, WWII combat veteran of the 508th PIR; and CSM (Ret.) Joe “China Boy” Lopez, a highly decorated combat veteran of Vietnam. Also mentioned in sections of the publication will be Medal of Honor Recipients MSG (Ret.) Roy P. Benavidez (deceased); and SGT Robert M. Patterson, for their exceptional combat service in Vietnam. The story of CPT (Ret.) Isaac “Ike” Camacho, the first American Soldier to escape from the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese, will receive attention as will Chisolm’s long standing friendship with CSM (Ret.) Kenneth J. “Rock” Merritt, also of the 508th PIR.
The amazing accomplishments of the individuals who gave life to the El Paso Chapter will come to life in the many photographs, compiled over a period in excess of twenty years, as they are recognized with attention provided to their individual stories, which grant the organization a personality of its very own.

Your support is greatly appreciated and will assure that the project is seen through to fruition.

Respectfully,

JOHN CEBALLOS, A.A., B.A., M.S.
