Greetings Friends, Family, and Lovers of small, independent filmmakers and Lovers of the arts! CHUCK LOST OBJECT FOUND is a documentary feature film made by Claire Coleman, Joanna Hartell and Catherine Skalda with a lot of help from our friends.
This project began with a simple art show...which was so dramatic and compelling that we could not just leave it at that. Through the development, discovery and the process of working together, we were ultimately able to re-create what we believe is the life of a man from the objects he left behind. We became so involved in the discovery that we felt we knew this person. It became personal. We couldn't leave it at that. We couldn't leave it undone! Of course, we took the next step: the creation of this movie. We didn't at first intend to make a film, but once we began, we had no other choice than to complete the process.
After 3 years of work, which involved many of our friends and relations, the Chuck movie was born. This project of devotion and obsession has gone through many transitions, has involved numerous people, and has touched every one of them involved. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this process. This film was made on a zero budget. We literally paid our actors in eggs and maple syrup!
The movie, a feature-length film about a man not unlike you and me, is now complete! It stars Jeff Lackey, Matt Werden, Karen Hudson, Robyn Almquist, Paolo Guadiano, Elizabeth Ennis, Catherine Skalda and many others. The next step is to introduce it the rest of the world. To do this we need your help. Please help us by contributing to the "Chuck Fund" so we can pay for the music rights. This is the only way we will be able to send it to film festivals. We are looking to raise $5,600 for the music rights to four songs that are integral to our storytelling. We have included a short trailer here so you can begin to understand how much this process and this person changed and became a part of our lives.
Your donations will enable us to submit this to festivals. Your generous support will help us finish this process and enable us to bring Chuck to the masses! Please help us with any amount you are able in order for us to reach our goal of $5,600 to pay for the songs.
Please watch our preview! Or if you can, come to one of our screenings at The Laundry King in Livingston Manor. Chuck is playing every Saturday in May at 7pm.
During our fundraiser event for "Chuck, Lost Object Found", we have opted for a Gofundme fundraiser for Chuck fans who don't reside locally and who wish to support our fundraising efforts.
