My Name is Trentin Heiny and I am a Boy Scout in Troop 667. I am currrenly working on my Eagle Scout Project fundraising.
I recently noticed that a picnic shelter in my town was having some structual problems, the footings have been upheaved do to frost forcing the support beams to raise and twist.
The picnic shelter is a place where families can come together to celebrate birthdays, baby and wedding showers or family reunions, while enjoying the park and the outdoors. I would like see this tradition in our community continue.
I am raising money to purchase materials necessary to build a new shelter. If funds allow I would also like to build new picnic tables. I have been working with several local building professionals to donate their labor/time.
My goal is to begin the building of the picnic shelter by the last week of April and complete my project by Memorial Day 2016. This would assure the picnic shelter is available for families to enjoy all summer long.
