Hi everyone, my name is Rob and I am a regional manager who works in residential field. I am trying to raise funds for my good friend and colleague who sadly passed away this year in August whilst on holiday with his family.

I had the privilege of working with Qumran for many years, about 15 or so. He was very dependable and one of my closest friends within the team. Throughout my management career, I encountered many challenges, and Qumran was always there, supporting, motivating, and helping me overcome obstacles. We would often reminisce about those moments over lunch or during catch ups at work. He was incredibly loyal and always thinking of others before himself. Qumran was an amazing manager, and he had a natural ability to bring out the best in people and he genuinely cared for those he worked with.

Myself and the team in Bradford are raising funds to instruct a charity to build a well in his name, complete with a plaque, to provide fresh, clean water to a village in Pakistan.

For those who may not be familiar with Islamic tradition, it’s customary to carry out an ongoing charitable act when a loved one passes away, something like building a well. It’s believed that every time someone drinks from it or benefits from something dedicated in his memory, his soul continues to receive blessings in the afterlife.

We felt this would be a fitting tribute to someone who always put our people first.
