Help Liz fight cancer one step at a time

Our beautiful Liz was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer in June 2020 while she was 19 weeks pregnant with her second child. Liz endured an aggressive surgery and 12 weeks of chemotherapy while pregnant, followed by 6 weeks of radiation with a newborn baby in tow and a two year old child at home.

Two years later in September 2022, Liz received the devastating news that the same rare and aggressive cancer had returned. Liz being the champion that she is, underwent 6 weeks of radiation while at the same time raising two young children at home with her wonderful husband James. Throughout her treatment Liz continued to remain positive, taking it all in her stride with a smile on her face.

In June 2023, Liz and her family received yet another devastating blow that her cancer had returned for a third time. Liz’s stressful medical negotiations resumed where she underwent lots of testing and daunting medical appointments to discuss her treatment. This then resulted in Liz receiving another long 6 weeks of radiation.

Just a short three months later in September 2023, Liz and her gorgeous family were struck down once again with the horrendous news that Liz’s cancer has returned for a fourth time in three years. This is absolutely devastating news to Liz, her family and her friends who all love her so much. Liz is now in the process of undergoing another 16 weeks of chemotherapy to treat her cancer. There is a possibility of further treatment options available including radiation, however Liz’s treatment will vary based on ongoing scans to monitor the progress as her cancer is so rare the doctors are unsure of what treatment options will be successful.

During the following months Liz is unable to work as her white blood cell count is too low to risk any illnesses or infections. Liz also has huge medical bills which will be ongoing into the future along with the added pressures of everyday living with a young family. Our aim is to greatly reduce some financial stress in an already incredibly stressful and uncertain time.

This beautiful family have suffered so much over the last few years however have remained positive throughout this ordeal which shows what kind of people the Eagleton family are. Liz and James are both school teachers who are admired by their students and colleagues and are always giving back to their community. Liz and James are also often participating in fundraisers to benefit other people and charities.
