Quixotic Talent LLC, a new stage production company coming to Las Vegas in 2025.
Quixotic... it means exceedingly idealistic, unrealistic, and impractical.
Mickey Roark, also known as Justin Kase, has spent over two decades as an actor and Host/Emcee for stage, festivals, film, private parties, corporations, and more.
He was given a chance to take the stage as Scotty, a college football jock, in Evil Dead the Musical. At the time, he was in his mid-thirties and over 300 lbs. The director saw something in him and took a chance casting against character description. The show had two sold-out runs locally and went on to perform at Planet Hollywood on the Las Vegas Strip for nearly 3 years.
Mickey wants to give back and rewrite the script when it comes to performing. He does not feel new talent is given enough opportunities to shine. So he is doing something about it by starting a production company.
Quixotic Talent LLC will be a staged production company that will put on two types of shows:
- Staged Plays and Musicals
- Cabaret Style Variety Shows
Quixotic Talent LLC will focus on two operating parameters when putting on these shows:
- New Talent - If you have been in a principal role in a play or musical in the last two calendar years, you will not be cast in a principal role in a QT production. You can be in the ensemble and in turn help support new talent. For the Cabaret shows, we will try our best to have different performers each show. No one will perform more than 3 times in a calendar year, and half the spots will be reserved for talent who has not performed in at least 6 months.
- Blind Casting - What this means is unless there is a reason for a character to be a certain race, sex, etc., for story purposes, you'll be considered. It doesn't matter your age, race, sexual identity, or how you present. If we think you will bring something to the part, then you have a chance.
Some of the other things that Quixotic Talent LLC wants to do for those that work with them:
- Ensure that performers are financially compensated.
- Performers get media (photos and videos) to use for future endeavors.
Because we want to be up front where the money will be going:
- $1500 for business licenses for 2 years (state, county, city)
- $1000 Production equipment (Speakers, sound board, microphones, computer)
- Anything over the $2500 will go to putting on intial stage Cabaret shows in 2025 and a staged play or musical in early 2026.
