Quintin Arthur’s Surgery Fund

From our very first glimpse of Quintin, we knew he was special. We did not realize how different he would be from his brothers!

Born on Wednesday January 19th, Quin is a spirited baby. And a big boy too, weighing 9lbs 5oz, and measuring 21 1/2 inches long.

It wasn’t long before doctors and nurses began additional tests and x-rays for Baby Q. What started with genetic testing, additional exams, a cranial ultrasound, and x-rays eventually led to a diagnosis.
On Quin’s due date, 1/21, Jess and Zak received the news. It’s called craniosynostosis.

Surgery for craniosynostosis is designed to correct his skull’s shape and allow his growing brain the room it needs to expand normally.

When we have the exact surgery date, we plan to share it.

In the midst of leaving the hospital and talking to the specialists, Quintin’s biliruben count soared and he struggled with eating.

Unfortunately at 5 days old, the doctor admitted Quintin to the hospital, overnight, to use light treatment to help correct his jaundice.

The lights were super effective. Quintin Arthur is back home, regaining his lost weight, and the whole family will be preparing for his craniosynostosis surgery.

Quintin must wear a helmet after his surgery. This might be a good thing in a house with three boys, 2 dogs, and a cat!

As you can see, Quin is not your average baby. His additional tests, hospital stay, complicated cranial surgery, and helmet are all unexpected expenses for the Travis family. They are humbly asking for your prayers and financial support.

The Travis family is tremendously grateful for their supportive friends and loved ones during this difficult time.
