Help Quinn Play in the Caribbean
Donation protected
Quinn (11yrs) says: The reason I want to go to the Dominican Republic for the 5th Annual Caribbean Classic (June 10-17, 2018) is to play baseball. It is pretty cool to know that I was chosen to go. This is my first trip out of the country, so I want to make it special. The reason we have this Go-Fund-Me page is to make this trip possible. If you donate, we appreciate you so very much! I'll also share the link to the vlog I'll be doing of the trip with those who help sponsor me.
Quinn's Mom says: Since he could walk, Quinn's been throwing a ball, running bases, and converting everything and anything into a bat to swing for the fences.

As his mom, I've listened to his dreams of becoming a major league baseball player, taken him to watch more instructional league, Fall Ball, AA, AAA, and Major League games than I can count...not to mention the times we've driven to the games he's actually played in.

(Yes, those are the Brandons Belt and Crawford...their spring training after they first made the Giants...)
(Oh, and this moment was pretty awesome too... https://youtu.be/tA53Oqjjiso)
As his Little League coach, I've watched his skills grow and his sportsmanship mature.

But it is the leadership, team spirit, humor, friendships, and fierce fighting spirit I've seen bloom in him that has made me the most proud.

(A couple of 10U All-Stars were there last year when Stacy Piagno became just the third woman to get a win in men's pro baseball since the 1950s for the Sonoma Stompers. She was fierce on the mound and kind after the game).

So when Quinn tried out for Ali Cepeda (Orlando Cepeda's son) and the Caribbean Classic earlier this year, we were so proud about how he carried himself, both on the field and in interacting with the staff. We are honored that Quinn has the opportunity to represent the U.S. in an international tournament in the birthplace of some of the best players in the MLB... including former Giants Orlando Cepeda, Juan Marichal, the Alous, and Ozzie Virgil, Sr. - the first player from the Dominican to play in the Majors.

Now here is the "but"....It was a lot more costly than we anticipated. We (his parents) have pooled our resources, but we still need a bit more help to get Quinn and Mommy on the plane, over the Caribbean Sea, into the hotel, and onto the field and stands (Nearly $5000 for both of us for a week's tournament registration, accommodations and flight, not counting incidentals). Once there, Quinn will do the rest. We'll share our experiences from the trip to prove it. We'll also be bringing some gently used equipment to donate to local teams there. So if you live nearby me, we'll bring your items to donate too.
It isn't easy for me ask for your help...but it is very easy for me to be grateful for the support that makes an experience like this possible for Quinn.

$25 for incidentals
$5 fills our hearts
I know it's quite close to our departure...so thank you for reading my urgent request to help today.
Thank you to all the friends, families, coaches, and teammates who have made Quinn's baseball life so full already...thank you in advance for all those who can help add another fullfilling experience to his amazing journey on the diamond.
