Hi, I’m Haily—and this is Quinn, my six-year-old American Eskimo, emotional support loaf, unlicensed therapist, and certified Good Boy (he insisted I capitalize it).

Right now, Quinn needs emergency surgery to remove his spleen. Apparently, it’s decided to go rogue, and we’ve been told it needs to come out immediately. The estimate for the surgery is just under $1,900, which is a huge expense I wasn’t prepared for—but I’m doing everything I can to make it happen for him.

Quinn is not just a dog. He’s my best friend, my shadow, and the one who drags me—literally and emotionally—through tough days. He’s helped me through heartbreak, anxiety, and every moment I’ve wanted to give up. He’s the one constant joy in a world that sometimes feels like it’s on fire. And now, I need to be that support system for him.

Here’s Quinn’s perspective:

Hi. I’m Quinn. I don’t know what a spleen is, but apparently mine is broken and trying to kill me, which is very rude. I still have a lot of zoomies left. I just need a little help. Also, treats. I love treats.

I’m doing everything I can to get him the care he needs, but I can’t do it alone. If you can donate—even just a little—it would mean the world. If you can’t, sharing this helps more than you know.

Quinn and I are a team. We’ve faced a lot together, but this one’s bigger than us. Thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping me fight for more walks, more snuggles, and more years with my ridiculous little snow-beast.

With love and tail wags,
Haily & Quinn

Over the past year, Quinn has undergone extensive veterinary care, including X-rays, ultrasounds, blood work, and an ACTH stimulation test for Addison’s disease. He’s currently being treated with daily prednisone and receives monthly Percorten injections. These treatments have helped manage his condition so far, but this emergency splenectomy is critical—and time-sensitive.
