Quinda never wanted her cancer to define her and did not let it. She is a mother of 3 girls, Renisha, Cierra, and Nia and a grandmother to 3, Eva, Christian, and Emersyn.
Quinda has been battling Breast Cancer for almost 3 years. Last year, it appeared she had won that battle, but unfortunately, the cancer returned and spread. She now has stage four metastatic cancer but has been a trooper through it!
On the morning of April 22, 2022, Quinda was rushed to a hospital via ambulance following observation of unusual behavior. The doctors discovered that she had suffered a stroke and multiple seizures and decided that the best option was to put her in a medically induced coma.
For Quinda's family, this was a shock due to how well she appeared to be doing.
Quinda was still caring for her newest granddaughter and best friend, 9-month-old Emersyn. She was still loving life, having just gone to her favorite destination, Tybee Island... the beach!! She was enjoying her favorite pastimes, reading and watching K-dramas.
As Quinda's family prepares for her homecoming, they are faced with the question: What now?
They were told to expect Quinda to have to meet with a neurologist, an occupational therapist, a speech therapist, and many more doctors. They expect Quinda to need mobility assistance, an in-home caregiver for when her daughters are away, and help with additional things that will help improve her daily quality of life.
Please consider donating to help offset the medical expenses and living costs that may come with this. It would greatly help Quinda and her family as they navigate these next steps.
