The 5th Grade Quincy Lady Jacks have qualified for the Washington State Basketball Tournament in Spokane, and these girls are proud to represent our small town.
Since October, this hardworking group has practiced 3–4 times a week and competed in more than 10 tournaments to earn their spot at State. Their dedication, teamwork, and love for the game have paid off, and they will soon take the court at “The Podium” in Spokane — also known as Hoopfest’s “Hoop Town USA.”
They are currently the only basketball team qualified to represent Quincy in the tournament, but next year we hope to have even more girls and boys teams in other grades competing so that one day our high school programs can make it back to State.
Our girls high school GIRLS basketball team has only reached the state tournament one time in school history (1993), and this group is VERY determined to help change that. Competing in the State Tournament is the first step toward building that future.
With the tournament just a couple of weeks away, the team is reaching out to our community for support. Donations will help cover travel, tournament fees, and other team expenses.
Every contribution, big or small, helps give these girls an unforgettable opportunity to compete at the state level and proudly represent Quincy. Thank you for supporting the Quincy Lady Jacks and helping make this experience possible for these young athletes. if you would like to make a tax deductible donation please make it on venmo and make it to @QuincyYouthBasketball
